He has been the CTO of four companies prior to ScribeRule, but has a reputation for being a "Practical Architect", providing working code to back up his designs. Additionally, Brian's ability to provide cogent, knowledgeable input on the gamut of technology decisions facing modern software companies sometimes borders on the ridiculous. It's hard to find a technology area that he can't talk to with intelligence, bridging the language gap between Business and Tech. Brian has a deep interest in distributed computing, languages, system automation, and cloud platform delivery. These interests combined with his business management experience allow him to provide excellent technology leadership as we go forward.

Through four early phase startups, Shane acquired 9 years of bootstrapping experience (and scars), including 4 years as CEO over two of his own startups. Over the course of his career, Shane has delivered solutions including desktop applications on Windows and Mac OS X, embedded monitoring and control devices, interactive OpenGL visualization tools, web services and interfaces, and distributed control systems over XMPP and HTTP(S).
